Infrastructure

Given the nature of our customers and the spikes in traffic that breaking news items cause, Lingospot has adopted an infrastructure-on-demand approach, giving us infinite flexibility to meet the demands of our customers without being limited by servers or bandwidth capacity.

Lingospot was one of the early beta testers of Google's App Engine service, utilizing the vast number of Google's servers to run our services. We continue to use the Google App Engine service and have recently also begun using Amazon Web Services for other pieces of our software. Combined, these two powerhouses have allowed Lingospot to easily serve traffic peaks from some of the world's largest sites, such as USA Today and Sky Sports.
