Aggregation
In addition to crawling, indexing and searching your site's content, the Lingospot platform supports a full range of content aggregation capabilities, all managed through the Lingospot console:
- Mixer. This feature allows you to create a searchable content channel by combining any number of content sources that you are interested in showing content from. There are many ways to use site mixer. For example, you may create a searchable blogroll, show content from affiliate or sister properties, or use it to manage content sharing within a blog network.
- Multimedia. Through a variety of third party relationships, Lingospot can aggregate topic-targeted multimedia, including photos and videos from professional sources (such as the Associated Press, Bloomberg, NBC, CBS, Forbes, etc.), as well as user generated photos and video, such as from Flickr and YouTube.
- Products. Whether it's books on Amazon or auction items on eBay, Lingospot can aggregate product information related to a specific topic. This topic-specific merchandise can be purchased by your readers with only a few clicks.
- Topic Forums. Lingospot allows your readers to initiate a conversation about a specific topic on the page where you are aggregating content about the topic. This turns every Topic Portal into a micro community, where readers can connect with other readers interested in that topic.
- Other Content. In addition, you can show Wikipedia information, search IMDB (if your topic is entertainment related), access various Q&A; services with the most relevant questions about the specific topic, view topic-trend graphs showing historical popularity of a topic, show related topic clouds and much, much more.
All aggregated content becomes a searchable channel, where Lingospot's technology can enable you to show topic-specific content that your visitors might be interested in.
